 about us
2019 - foreword from the chair

"A big welcome to our new members, and all of you to our website."

2019 has begun with a return to the village hall in early March as The Papplewick Players Presenteth Romeo and Juliet on Radio Lavenham.

This has been written for us by the incredibly talented Nick Paley, and we are all enjoying the humour that is unfolding. Please come with a picnic on either Friday 1st or Saturday 2nd March and watch The Papplewick Players farce unfold.

The bar will be open from 6:45 PM each evening and tickets are available either by email at Lavenhamplayers2017@gmail.com or at either the Village Hall or bakery in Lavenham.

We hope to see you there.

Louise Harrison

Chairperson

Louise joined Lavenham Players in 2016 and made her debut playing Maggie Howard in the thriller Suddenly at Home, by Francis Durbridge. Louise is more used to life in the board room, but has found a gift for drama, and enjoyed the experience so much that she has now become the chair of the committee of the emergent group.

Jacqueline Cooper Clarke

Treasurer

Jacqueline has been performing on and off in Lavenham Players' productions since her debut with the group in 2010 in the first production of Habeas Corpus (Heavenly Body). Jacqueline has always been a supported of the group since the beginning, and has now taken up the mantle of the Treasurer on the new committee for 2017-2018.

Paul Vella

Stagecraft & Drama

Paul has been involved in acting and drama for many years, mostly with the Sudbury Dramatic Society at the Quay Theatre. He joined the Lavenham Players in 2011 for their 2nd production of Blithe Spirit. He has performed in many of the Players' productions since then, and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. Paul has become a member of the committee for 2017-2018.

John Moore

Member

John was introduced to, and guided through, the challenges and delights of stage management at Questors Theatre (west London) where he was Stage Manager for several productions, including a tour to the Minack Theatre. Over the last few years, John has been Stage Manager for a number of Sudbury Dramatic Society productions at the Quay Theatre.
